Canada - day 3
So - today was good!
We went to Costco to stock up for the week and I don't think that Costco Canada (or grandma for that matter) will ever be the same - let's just say that we bought a whole heck of a lot of stuff! Then, we went on the hunt for the closest Roots store, but the one we normally went to has moved so we will go another day. Then, we came home for lunch - ate on the back lawn, played for a few minutes, then went to Port Moody. Port Moody is a park with a pier that extends out into an inlet of the Pacific - the tide is pretty exteme so when we got there the tide was way out leaving a whole lot of muddy wet sand to walk through to get to the actual water in the inlet.
Hailey thought nothing of the mud that was strong enough to sink up to your ankles in, but Jacob had a near breakdown when he realized that his feet were stuck - good thing Uncle Matt was near by!
At the same park there is a splash park (no pool but a whole bunch of things that shoot water all over, and water sprays coming out of the ground, etc.) the kids loved that.
Then we played on a regular playground near by for a while,
ate lots of french fries and ice cream,
then came home. The kids totally crashed (except Hailey who decided that even though she was completely and utterly exhausted she didn't actually need to sleep).
Tomorrow we are going to White Rock Beach - which is a fun play beach - more to come :)
