Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was great this year (as usual) - a good chance to relax, eat, talk, and refocus on the things we have instead of all the things we want. While dinner was cooking the kids made Indian hats and little play turkeys. Matt deep fried a turkey injected with Praline marinade and rubbed with Honey Pecan flavorings and it turned out really great. Jacob made placecards for each person - with lots of help from me. Dinner was great - Jacob tried sweet potatoes for the first time and loved them. Hailey's favorite was the jello, and Bryce loved the stuffing (it's confirmed, he is definitely Matt's kid!). After dinner everyone took turns on the Wi (I have no idea if that is how it is spelled). Matt and Senia boxed for a while, which was pretty funny to watch. Everyone has a fun time and now the rush is on towards Christmas - I cannot believe this year has gone by so quickly. I think I say that every year though - how I feel so surprised that it is time for the holidays again, but maybe instead of hoping for more time and more whatever I should focus more on just enjoying today, enjoying the shopping, gift wrapping, home decorating, hot chocolate sipping, etc.
