So, nana and papa hosted a campout in the backyard, which Jacob and Hailey went nuts about. They loved the idea of sleeping in the tent, and I loved the idea of no bears, dirt, holes in the ground called toilets, etc. We set up the tent, roasted hot dogs over a fire, then went fishing in a neighbors trout pond. The fish were huge! (see the pics below). With a fish for Hailey and 1 for Jacob (Bryce was a little small for these guys), we set off back to the house for rootbeer floats and a fireworks show (courtesy of the Highland Fling people - you can see the display from the backyard). Bryce and I made our exit back to our house, while Matt camped out with Jacob and Hailey. They had a blast - and an added bonus, we are going to smoke 1 trout and bake 1 trout for my birthday on Wednesday! Yummy, yummy!
