Jacob is almost 5, with an adventure . . .

Well, we are nearing the end of the birthday season around here with Jake picking up the tail end, and here is a bunch of pics from his 'photo session' trying to get this years birthday picture.

And what is the adventure you might be wondering . . .well, after getting Jacob all cleaned up, everyone safely buckled in the car, and out the door we are driving to the location that I intend to take the pictures at which is only about 3 or 4 minute from our house. We are driving down the road and the car doesn't feel right, then I turn the radio off and realize that something doesn't sound quite right either, so we pull of the road in a little turn around area that is out of traffic, I hop out of the car to see if I am dragging something or whatever, and realize that I have a flat tire. I call Matt on the cell and he sets off to help us. While sitting there I realize that there are some nice looking plants and grasses in the median, so ever the multi-tasker, we go to plan B and do Jake's picture right there in the median while waiting for help to arrive. When Matt does get there, we decide it would probably be smart for me to know how to change the tire, so Matt and Nate are sitting there with the kids talking me through changing the tire (with lots of odd looks from passer-bys as the 2 guys are sitting there with the kids and the mom is changing the tire :), anyways, so Matt took a quick picture:

And here are the pics of Jacob

Oh, I love these pictures! There are so many good ones. You are such a talented photographer! Ever thought of making it a part-time job? And congratulations on your tire change!

You look so cute changing the tire! THat is such a good idea, I've been shown how to change it many times but I learn so much better when I do it! I can't believe that those pictures were taken on the median, it was really good scenery!
