Here are a few pics from Matt's recent ACL surgery. He begrudingly grated me 'permission' to take a few pics, so here they are . . .
Here is Matt and the nurse getting his TED hose on :) Ted hose are basically shockingly tight nylons (and all of us ladies thought that control top is bad . . . .). Anways, they help to prevent blod cots forming in the legs after surgery. Lucky for Matt he only has to wear it on the leg in question
Let's all make sure that we are about to operate on the correct knee :)
Waiting for the surgeon to get ready
This one was taken just a few minutes after coming to - he was still a bit loopy. It was right about now that he asked me what Dr. Baxter said about the surgery - I laughed and told him that he did not have a baby! (Dr. Baxter is my baby doc, Dr. West was the knee surgeon :)
This is Matt's new favorite spot for the next week - he has strict instructions to stay in bed - the ONLY time he is allowed out is to use the restroom.
I put this one in just to make Erin squirm a bit :) The lrge incision is where they went in to take part of the hamstring to make a new ACL and the small holes are where the drill, light, and other instruments were
Overall he is doing pretty good. He can put his weight on that leg for a few seconds which is good. He meets with the physical therapist this Thursday which will probably be really good and really painful all at the same time.

Hang in there, Matt. It gets better! I still owe you the macaroons.
Nothing stops the computer does it??? Tell Matt not to be to tough at therapy...My matt did this and then they lady turned his wrist even more and I laughed because he said he already pushed it because he didn't want the lady to think he was a whimp! Served him right! Let me know if you need anything..
I didn't even know! The laying down explains things..he left a VM on my phone yesterday and I couldn't really understand him...sounded like he was sleeping. Well good luck!
You're a trooper Matt and Megan, you're such a sweetheart
That is pretty funny he asked about your baby doctor. Good luck with the recovery, that sounds rough.
Just remember that which doesn't kill you only makes you stronger...that goes for knees too.
Be strong and do ALL that the PT tells you to do.
