What in the world, you might ask, is Hailey holding? . . . . .

It's onions! :)

I got the idea from a lady at the produce co-op that I volunteer at each Saturday morning. When she has a plethora of onions she uses the tights that her little girl has grown out of, snips of the bottom, ties a knot in the now-open tow end, and fills both legs with onions. She hangs them on hooks in her food storage room in her basement and they keep for a long time. In the tights there is still some air flow, they are up off the floor, and to they naturally rotate themselves because when you need an onion you just either untie the end and pull one out (if you want to reuse the tights), or just snip off the end and retie once you have removed what you need! :)

I thought it was a fantastic idea!
