Canada - day 2

The rest of the travel went really well - I have awesome angel kids!!!! They really did not cry or fight the whole time - it was truly a miracle. The watched movies and played games and Jacob loved going over the Frasier River over the Port Man Bridge (really big) on the Canadian side of the border. We liked going through the mountains in Washington through the Wenatchee National Forest (lots of pine trees and beautiful lakes) - this mountain pass dumps out on the south side of Seattle. We got to grandma's house at 5:45 Vancouver time (6:45 SLC time), and the last what should have taken 30 minutes took 1 1/2 hours because of the horrible traffic as the Canucks are redoing the freeway (probably in prep for the Olympics). The kids jumped out and ran around the yard for 3 straight hours, ate spaghetti on the back lawn and loved it! Jacob loves the ideas of having a park literally 3 lots down the road from the house - he thinks everyone should have a playground in walking distance from the house. Grandma's house is just like it was the last time I was here (about 10 years ago!). We are really looking forward to the activties for the week and we will keep you up-to-date (sorry - no cute pictures today but I will post a bunch tomorrow).

The first picture of Hailey and Jacob looks so much like Matt and Betsey! Even the hairstyles!! Oh, memories.
